Does insurance cover fills? Post-op visits?

I read somewhere that insurance does not cover anything except the surgery. I have Neighborhood Health. What have you all found with your insurance coverage?

Whether or not insurance covers fills is dependant on your specific plan. You'd probably have to call your ins. company and ask. Give them your ID#. For example, I have Health New England insurance. For most people, they can see any of the surgeons or use either of the local hospitals. But because of MY specific plan (I work for one of the local hospitals), I am stuck with no choice but the one surgeon in my area who has priviledges at the hospital I can use... the one I work for. Like I said, most other people who have Health New England have some choices. So, call them up and see what they say. Good luck!

you know, it just now hit me... What good would having the band be if you can't get it filled? Insurance must cover at least part of the cost, or they wouldn't approve of having the lap band at all... Makes sense to me... LOL, but who knows with insurance companies!!
