My boss had lap band surgery a few months ago and he cannot tolerate eating any carbs at all. Did this or is this happenning to anyone else? If so, any suggestions about overcoming this obstacle? Thanks in advance for your replies.

Hi Donna, I'm 10 months post-op and I can eat most foods. Some carbs may be a problem food for lapbanders-especially bread that is not toasted and rice. I don't have a problem with crackers, pita bread and wraps but I avoid soft breads. When I eat bread it feels like it gets stuck and it is not pleasant. Your boss should try to eat harder consistancy carbs in very small amounts. Lisa
