What to pack?

How should I perpare my home and what should I have on hand at home for when I have my RNY surgery? What should I pack for the hospital to make me more comfortable? Thanks, Amy

Absolutely prepare your house for when you get home. I cleaned out my cabinets and threw out all the junk food. Best thing that I ever did. I struggled with throwing all that food away but that is the reason why I was where I was then. I took a couple of nightgowns, undies, bathrobe, slippers and toiletries. I was in a week and was up and about the last 2 days. My sister washed my hair in the sink as soon as I was up. In the afternoon, the sun beat in the window and it got really hot and by the middle of the night, it was freezing. I also took a book but really didn't get to read much. I had my cell phone with the charger because you can only make local calls from the hospital phone. Good luck......... Cindy
