when to start fasting liquids only

i'm being banded on the 30th and I may have misunderstood am I supposed to do only liquids the day before or midnight the day of surgery

Usually fasting is 12-16 hrs. before any labs or surgery. I would check with the surgeon, but it's usually 12-16. If he says you MUST fast 12-16 hrs. go with the 16. ~*Good Luck with Banding!
