Interesting. I have had never thigh pain when ever I wore anything right for years and now that I've lost some weight I can feel painful lumps in my thighs. Especially the upper thigh. I have lost 1 0" from my waist and almost 5" on my upper arms and almost 4" mid thigh but less than 2" off my upper thigh. I am at a loss about that to do and was considering lymphatic massage.
Hello! My name is Sandra Dee, residing in Las Vegas since December 2013. I had Gastric Sleeve surgery March 2013 and lost 200 pounds after weighing in at over 600! I got formally diagnosed in December 2015 with Lymphedema and two months ago, Lipedema. I was told that Lipedema is hereditary. I had all of this excess skin in my thighs and stomach and my thighs and stomach are now huge...I still have excess skin between my legs slowly filling up! I just cry all the time in pain! I was so happy to be able to go to Kohls and get my Jennifer Lopez dresses off the rack! Now, my clothes are getting tight again due to 75 pounds of fluid buildup!
I am doing treatments finally!
Careful, not alot of doctors can do this. Only a handful world wide. If the doctor performing the procedure messes up you end up getting bigger over time and not having fixed or halted the problem. Due to damaged deeper lymph.
Sometimes, you get what you pay for. And you can fight the insurance for re-imbursement due to medical ness. if you have all the i's dotted and t's crossed.

Wow .. what an inspirational story from Inside Edition for those of us with L/E!:
She claims in the article that liposuction can help correct her LE condition, if she can ever afford it .. I have never heard that lipo can help us, though .. Anyone?

Is the nursing home providing you treatment for your lymphedema? They should be able to have physical or occupational therapists perform MLD and compression wrapping, or at least get your a compression pump.
