Is this Lymphedema? Passing on a Question...

Hi DX, You've got a great grasp of lymphedema with all this great info! The only bit that isn't factual is the manual lymph drainage part. A lymphedema patient is told to never allow even an injection puncture to any part of the skin of a lymphatic limb. Cutting the skin can further damage already compromised lymph vessels. Bravo to the info you passed on. Lymphedema is mis- diagnosed so very much. And that time of it passing into the next critical stage can make a big difference in the patient's ability to bring it under control and manage it effectively. At this time, there is no cure for lymphedema, but with knowledgeable medical attention, it can be managed quite comfortably. Best wishes, Toni
