I AM FURIOUS!!!! OK I chose a psychologist to do my pshyc evaul. Had it done did his feakin' stupid 500 question test. He was approved for 3 additional visits with my insurance. Now he sends a letter to my surgeon stating that he wants to see me back in his office. FOR WHAT. I called to see how his stupid test was graded/scored or whatever, and he hasn't returned my phone call!!!!! I think he just wants to use up his additional visits, I asked Caroline in his office so what happens after the 3 visits will he release me, she said most likely.
WTF!!!! I am burning up about this. I'm going to see if I can find another pshyc.
He is the only thing that is holding up my papers being sent to get approval!!!!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
*I Put this on the main MB as well* Any input is welcome. Thanks!!!
I can understand your frustration ans some practitioners feel they need to milk insurance for all they can. That's why insurance costs so dang much. I had to do that test too. I go back to see hime on Thursday, different psychologist I'm sure. I probably have to pay $125 for taking the test, he doesn't think the insurance will cover it. I will see him and see what he says. I do want to see him again though, becasue I need to deal with my food addiction issues before and after surgery. I want to be sure I can break the habits that got me here in the first place.
Just an FYI. I used Patricia Holbrook in Charlotte. She did not know exactly what to do and definitely had no tests to take. She basically just sat me down and made sure that I knew what I was getting into and that I would have some sort of support system. She wrote the note to my physician that I passed to have the surgery. Only the one visit and she was so pleasant. She did offer her services if I needed any after surgery support. Insurance covered all but my $15 dollar co-pay. E-mail me and I will give you her number ([email protected]). Mark
I am going through the very same thing, in counseling and its holding me up from appealing a denial. This is the 2nd Psych Dr. I've been to-the first one added something about my needing an exercise program and counseling(even though she didn't tell ME that)so I just wrapped up my first session on Tuesday. Who knows when this will all be over...
Hey Laurie! Sorry for hijacking this thread, but I saw that you're getting banded by Dr. Cobourn too!
I just got mine done 3 weeks ago, and am doing awesome. You're in good hands, and his staff is amazing.
I'm in SK, but might be moving to NB, so I came here checking to see if anyone has anything to say about Dr. Beausoleil.... do you know anything about what he charges for fills?
Dr. C is training you to do fills? That's pretty cool. The closest place I can go for fills is Calgary, which is about a 7 hour drive! I'm lucky that Dr. C will be in Calgary in May, around the time I"ll be due for my first fill, so my plan is to go there and get him to do it. And if I have to stay in SK any longer, there's a couple Calgary Dr's that can do it for me.
Good luck with everything!
Hi MM
Welcome ,and I do not mind you looking over the fence.lol
As far as I have been informed Dr. B doesn't take any pt's outside of his office.
As for me doing fills, there is a few questions that need to be cleared first. You can e-mail me and we can discuss this further.
When would you be moving to the Maritimes? Also thank you for your reassurance. Thank you.
Laurie
