Wegener's and on Prednisone-any problems w/ lapband?
Hi, I have wegener's granulomatosis and I've been on chemo and now 9mg of pred for 5 years. Have any of you found that pred at lower doses has hurt you in terms of the lap band? My docs won't allow gastric bypass due to my disease. Any info would be helpful!
I've been on prednisone and chemo for over 7.5 years. Gained over 160 pounds due to pred. Highest wt. 410. Surgery wt. 365. Current wt. 299

You may want to ask your Doctor about the gastric sleeve. You are better able to take the meds. Only your Doctor can tell you for sure. The sleeve doesn't touch your intestines which my doc would not approve either. Good luck
