Be proud now for having decided to take charge again. The words you've used -- sad, upset, mad, ashamed -- serve one purpose only: They send a person directly to the refrigerator without passing "Go." Moving beyond the comfort zone will do far more toward getting you to a good place. Good for that.
Is it time for a band adjustment?
Since you wrote that you woke during surgery, you may want to ask Dr. Marema to get the records of your procedure from the surgeon in Mexico.
I am going for lap band surgery on the 17 of april and I am scared. I really like how you posted your weightloss and dates. Thanks Colleen

Hi! I'm Colleen. I am having Lap-Band surgery in Regina on April 17/17. Looking for a group or person for support.
Hi all. Haven't been on here for quite awhile and had a few questions. I had to have my band removed in August. It had flipped and grown into my liver. I was having a lot of "stuck" episodes and throwing up several times a day. Since it's removal, I've been fine, but gaining way to much weight back (nearly 50 lbs). Revision is not an option for me. Any suggestions? I'm hungry all the time.
Sorry to hear that you're going through a lot of the same symptoms. I, too, was having chest pain. The upper GI found a hiatal hernia that I didn't know I had. A lot of what I was experiencing are symptoms from the hernia and not the lap band. The second upper GI on Friday has shown that my esophagus looks good, so I got a 4cc's put back in. It's not much, but enough to start over. I've dropped 5lbs since Friday and so far so good. I have been doing protein shakes and water and if I get hungry I'll do either a bowl of soup or a salad for dinner. Good luck.
I'm currently going through the same thing and I have developed reflux. Unfortunately, I'm also having pain and heaviness in my chest. I've been on a diet of liquids and soups. This kind of diet is helping me not hurt when I'm eating, so I prefer it to eating whole foods. My doctor recommeded that I continue on that diet as well, since I felt better doing it. My doctor put me on meds yesterday to help with my symptoms. I will have an endoscopy next Monday to see if there are any internal problems that could not be seen with the barium swallow.
I recommend listening to your body and your doctor. I wish I could give you more input, but I'm just starting to have the problem.
Good Morning
I can't believe March is gone and spring and summer is around the corner.
Those that know me know I am very passionate about us, all we go through and how we live. Please take my poll and be honest. There is a personal reason I ask and will post later why and share.
This is for NON MEDICAL reason revision! Defined by a surgeon or doctor doing test/s and has confirmation there is a medical reason you have regained.
Did you have a revision?
How long after your first surgery date?
How much did you regain?
After the revision have you kept it off at least 3-5 years? (if it's not been that long let me know how long)
What if anything did you do differently the second time around?
Thank you, I appreciate your help
Kathy
