I only have two statements to make.
1. You better get your head in the game because half the battle is mental.
2. The Lapband ONLY allows you to comfortably eat **** and don't let ANYBODY tell you anything differently!

I'm so incredibly sorry that you suffered so much from this inferior product.
My hope is that in the future there will be a HUGE class action lawsuit that will put an end to this crap.
Any of these surgeons depending on where your located should be able to help with a removal as they have helped other members in the group Failed lap band and realize bands on FB
GOOD LUCK !!

I am three years out from the Lapband surgery. I have been up and down in both my weight and resolve. I have finally recognized that the biggest part of being successful in my journey and staying on plan, is reaching out to my MD, Dr. John DeBarros and his staff. Sometimes I think to myself, "I got this" and let my guard down, (eating things that I know I should not or not being active) I always check back in my MD, the support group or the Facebook page for inspiration. I am never judged for not being where I should be, but I am helped in trying to figure out to get back in the groove.
Try the Texas board, good luck,
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
OMG this just scared the heck out of me! I soooo need this band out of me. I am so over weight loss surgery. The reflux is crazy for me right now. I have the same issues at night and am afraid I could die on my sleep! Now I am so afraid of my stomach being cut while having the band removed. I so regret ever doing this. In your post you mentioned moving from Texas to California. What part of Texas? I am in Houston. I am trying to find a new surgeon as mine moved to New Mexico
Any suggestions on reputable doctor's in the Houston, TX area that remove bands? I don't want a revision or a conversion. I just want this horrible thing out!
Well done. Contrary to some opinions, there are still a lot of us about!
