had lapband 6 weeks ago, from preop to present I have lost 36 lbs . Only had one adjustment but seems like I am eating more then I should. Am I expecting to much? I mean I am not overeating just thought I would be more restricted .. Also a friend introduced me to Limu .. Has any bandsters tried Limu ? Thanks!
Head on over to the sleeve forum there are some very great folks over there too, get to know them too. You'll find many ex bsndsters over there too, many of us have had to either have our bands removed or revise to another surgery. It happens to the best of us even those who followed the rules to the letter. You'll do great with the sleeve!
Best of luck with band removal and revision to sleeve. I hope all goes well.

Hello,
Been a long time since I have been here, I don't see many posts.
I was banded 6/08 and lost 90 pounds, did great maintaining until I had to have fluid taken out. Slowly but surely 30 pounds crept back.
Went for a yearly check up and my upper GI showed a slipped band and dilated esophagus........so good by band......tomorrow is the day, my insurance is paying for the removal but I have to pay out of pocket for the sleeve. I need some sort of tool to help me, I wish I didn't but I do.
Sad to see it go but there are certainly some things about it I won't miss lol!!!
So grateful for this site and all the support.
Bon Voyage fellow bandsters, it's been a good run!

Hey everyone I found this site after searching about what just happened to my friend.
She is 6 months post op and last night decided to have an ibuprofen after suffering from a terrible headache.
This decision put her in critical condition this morning.
The drs performed emergency surgery and she will be on IV for awhile. I dont know all the details yet but was told the ibuprofen ate through her stomach lining and she had internal bleeding.
Please listen to your Dr's and stay away from ibuprofen!
What a long day. Had one appointment in the town I live in and then had to drive to the town where my gut doc practices. I'm all bandaged from needle pokes and pooped out. The good news is that I don't have to have another surgery, so I'll consider it a positive thing.
