I'll keep you in my prayers and am advised not to write about this. I guess you might not understand that. I will pray you have more compassion for others, since this has not been easy for me. Good luck to you, and I will keep you in my prayers.

A police report has been filed. I am not sure why you inparticular feel the need or want to pick my rape apart. I have to protect myself, so I cannot respond, because this is under litigation. I'm unsure why me as a victim, would be treated cruelly. But, you must not understand rape or the longterm trauma that follows. I pray you are never sexually assaulted and you never get the reaction I have received from you. I can no longer write about this since I have an attorney now.

I will keep you in my prayers and hope nothing ever bad happens to you and if it does, you receive compassion and not criticism.

Topic: RE: Food/sugar withdrawals. HELP!

"ketosis flu" or the "induction flu" in the first few days while the body is adapting to burning ketones instead of glucose.

The basic symptoms are:
- Headaches
- Nausea
- Upset stomach
- Lack of mental clarity (brain fog)
- Sleepiness
- Fatigue

It's called the "ketosis flu" for a reason: you feel sick. I've gone through it and it wasn't a pleasant experience. Fortunately it only lasted 2 days but then suddenly I woke up feeling much better, less hungry and my energy level was really high and consistent throughout the day!

keep in mind this can last a little longer and everyone's different.

I hope this helps you at least understand what may be going on

are you getting enough fluid and making sure you are not dehydrated ?

Topic: Food/sugar withdrawals. HELP!

Hello all!  I'm new to this forum & im desperate for any information to validate what I'm experiencing. I had the lap band done just a couple days ago.  5 days prior to my surgery I had to follow a liquid diet.  By day 2 I felt TERRIBLE!  Flu like symptoms.  I am now a few days post op & I'm still experiencing the flu like symptoms:  I feel like my head is burning up, constant sweating & terrible migraines.  Has anyone else experienced the same issues and if so how much longer can I expect to be miserable??

I'm sorry, but I'm questioning the reason why you're so fixated on talking about his "ugly grey hair?" And, in former posts which you've deleted, you talk about how you were "very married" at the time of the alleged assault. You mentioned this several times. Now maybe I'm just not following your train of thought, but what does being "very married" have to do with being sexually assaulted by a physician? And why would the color of his hair have anything to do with this at all? Rape is not a sexual act. It surely has nothing to do with being "turned on or off."

You can post about this if you feel it's the best course of action, but I have to tell you that you should probably consider keeping it between the police department and yourself. I understand the need to share if something heinous has happened to you, but in the interest of self preservation and getting the resolution you might desire, you might be much better off not putting this out on a public forum like this. (Your words can be misconstrued and used against you and you certainly don't want that to happen. It's better if it's kept to a police report. If you tell your attorney what happened, all the information you've provided is between you and your attorney and will protect you. It's difficult to report a rape under any cir****tances, but years later and against a doctor makes it even that much more difficult. Protect yourself.)

Take care. I hope there's someone who can help you.

The band seems to make people burp like adolescent boys. With practice I'm sure we could burp the alphabet with ease! I still tend to swallow a lot of air when I eat even without my band. I can burp with the best of them still, not a skill I was looking for but impressive none the less.

Shoot, I'm sorry to hear this. You poor dear. You may need to keep screaming loudly to get that band removed. There has to be a way. You need to feel better.

Topic: RE: The 3 week weight loss stall....

I have been banded for over 9 years, and there are times (beginning middle and currently) that I request someone to hide my scale. I keep trucking along and bam I gain or stall. And to stop me from getting discouraged or resulting to some quick fix (trust me I have tried them all even prescribed diet pills!!) I just don't weigh myself for 2 weeks. I keep focused with the program and do my best to ignore the scale.  And typically after two weeks I am back in the losers bench. Good luck!
