weight gain

I was banded 5 yeas ago.  I had a fill about 2 months ago.  I still get sick some from it.  I still have been eating some of the wrong things.  I got on the scale and put on 3 more pounds.  I have a lot of crazy hours for work.  I will go in at 2 AM and get off at abut 3:30.  I have a tear in my knee and will probably need surgery for it.  It's hard to work out now.  Does anyone have any ideals how to help me.

You need to get back to basics. Protein first and stay away from liquid calories. You also want to be careful and make sure you are not too tight.

It may also help for you to see exactly how many calories you are actually taking in. I started to see my weight creeping back up, and I started using MyFitnessPal app to monitor my calories and make sure I was getting in enough protein. Maybe that would help you as well? Also, get in any kind of exercise you can (bike, lifting some weights, etc.).   :)

Good luck!

what is a fitness pal app.  I've not head of one of those.  I was thinking about a fitbit but now.  I'm hearing not so good thinks.

Thank you for the good ideals

My Fitness Pal.   A way of journaling food intake. Works well for some! Not for me as I don't do well if I start to obsess about every mouthful but for some people it is brilliant.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Are you a bit tight? You shouldn't be being sick - I only bring food back maybe once every two or three months and it is always though eating too fast. Being tight encourages us to eat soft foods which may be high calorie and don't make us feel full.

Planned meals, dense protein first, then veggies, then carbs.

Check portion sizes, daily intake.

Either no snacks or carefully selected snacks.

Lots of no calorie liquids.
