This is going to sound negative but isn't. I hope things go according to your plan, but if you do hit some bumps, remember we have between us a lot of personal experience and may be ble to help.

I will say Kate is a great resource to the forums. She is very intelligent. She understands the changes that have to be made with the band. She is a caring person also.

If I had the band I would defiantly believe what she has to say. The vets on this forum really do help.Sometimes you may not like what they have to say. Most of the time it is helpful.

I sincerely hope that you have a great therapist to talk with and help you out during this process.

So why are you getting the band or any WLS if you lost 50lbs?  Why not continue with the supervised diet?

I really think your expectation are way off, but hey stranger things in this world have happened.  I really hope that everything works out the way you want it to or you may be wishing you hadn't had the band.

Does your ticker reflect your weight at the beginning of your liquid diet or have you not updated it? It says 18 pounds. Just confused.

I put my absolute highest weight as my starting weight and count every pound (I lost 28 pre-op)

A therapist CAN NOT help me. The change have to come deep with in me. I can go see a therapist every day if I don't change my habits it still wouldn't help me.

Of course a therapist can help you.  You're hardly some unique snowflake who is immune to the benefits of a well trained mental health professional.

I know for some people a therapist can help them that's good. I know what's my problem it's self control. When I had to see a therapist for insurance requirements she told me only a few people get it. She was surprised how much knowledge I had. It come down to this if I don't change I die at a young age ,if I do change how I look at food I will live longer.

And a good therapist can help you with that.  A therapist can also help with the inevitable let down you will experience when you don't lose 100 pounds as fast as you think you should.  Setting up that team now instead of when you're in the middle of a crisis will benefit you.
