left shoulder pain after removal of lap-band

I had the lap-band put in in 2005 and removed in 2006 because of the left shoulder pain.  I have had an occasional flare up since the removal but have experienced everyday pain for the last week.  Could scar tissue be causing this?

I believe it is usually damage to the vagus nerve that causes the long term left shoulder pain but I could be wrong. Hopefully Nicci will see this and post she unfortunately is an expert on the left shoulder pain.

I'm glad you "found" me and sent a message.

I forgot to mention in the message I wrote to you... it could possibly be a side effect of gastritis, as well. Maybe get checked out. I notice that the left shoulder pain comes back when I also have burning in my stomach. I also get a stuffed nose and then start sneezing, sometimes for hours at a time. Have you experienced anything like that at all?

I was told that I have an abundance of scar tissue from the band, too. So, it could very well be a combination of things or just scar tissue.

I really hope you feel better soon.

Not all people have the luck for a surgical treatment; there are unlucky ones though they needed it. If you were in a military service and in an unexpected event you really need for surgery but you’re insurance is not sufficient to cover up the expenses, military payday cash advances can help. Hiatal hernias can cause the referred left shoulder pain, as well, licorice.

Hope it's getting better by now. Check in when you can and let us know how you're doing.
