My 5 year anniversary!!!

Yep my 5 year anniversary just came and went. I can't believe it's been 5 years...where has the time gone???

Well I know this board is a ghost town now. And I know there is so many with problems and a lot of bad stories of bands gone bad. I just thought I would post my good story.

5 years ago I got my band and at first I hated my band. I had no restriction and I could eat whatever I wanted and did sometimes. Needless to say the weight loss was pains-takingly slow. It took 9 fills before I even felt I had a band...yep 9 fills!!! When my band started working and I started eating right and exercising...well the weight just flew off!!! It didn't take long before I was no longer obese!!!!

My medical problems...high blood pressure, high cholesterol, female issues....all gone!!!! I feel great. I have so much energy. I sleep better. I just enjoy life more.

I lost over 185lbs. I started at 354lbs. I was a size 28-30...now I am a size 12!!!! I can shop in the juniors section...the juniors...where teenagers shop!!! I can pretty much do whatever I want including run up the stairs...heck I can run up several flights of stairs. I can sit where I want. I can cross my legs. I can wear a dress and look nice. Ride roller coasters are fun again!!!

My band has never caused me any problems and I now go once a year for a check up. I keep my band on the lose side. I don't want to keep it too tight....not a good idea. I have been very blessed and hope to continue being blessed.

Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

You look amazing. Way to go, girl!! I am six years out and feel just as blessed as you do. It's an amazing tool, but the exercising has really become a way of life for me as well.
