Having surgery the 14th, I think!

Hello. I am having my hernia repaired and my band re-adjusted on the 14th. Unfortunately I just found out that my thyroid is low and will need meds. Does anyone have hypothyroidism and if so how did the surgery go? I am blown away by this diagnosis. All this years I have thought I had an underactive thyroid and it was fine. Now I actually do have one and I am so bummed out. I hope it doesn't effect my surgery.

Hi Donna!  Were you not able to get the revision than? I know you had written about once in a lifetime WLS.  I have never been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, I don't think I even was tested.

I was unable to get the sleeve. To be very honest the sleeve was the doctors idea, not mine. I am tickled pink that I am keeping my band and that they are fixing my hernia. I will be on the losers bench very soon!
