This is why I fail
This is why if you are eating no more than 1200 and are exercising and not losing with the Band that you will experience the same issue with not losing if your stomach is sleeved.
Still it is such a shorT period of time to give up your "restart". You may lose in spurts. Keep going, keep trying- don't give up!
All best,
L
Zee, a hi-jack! How are you these days? Has the sleeve proved to be all you hoped? Seems to be good for th vast majority, hope you are one of them!
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
Hi Kate!
I am well. I am loving my stomach sleeved and have no problems to speak of at all - easy too normal lol! I still am one of those Sleeved who never ever gets hungry (sometimes I check & I would probably get ill b4 got hungry). Umm, but I can still eat and love food so I mus****ch what In eat and exercise - just like normal people trying to keep fit & healthy. I did not lose all of my excess weight, struggle with food yet, but I have not given up reaching my goal weight.
I lost my Mom last year whom I was incredibly close to. Initially I lost weight because our food connection was so profound - she was on a feeding tube and I stopped eating too. Then a while after she passed I could not really stop using food. Since I was a little girl we ate a lot together so I found a lot of comfort in eating the foods she loved. It's been incredibly tough and I lost focus along the way. Now I am truly back to reaching my health goals.
All best and happy new year!
Note: Cottage cheese test - my stomach can hold just under 6oz. So my sleeved stomach does its job 2.5 years later the choices I make are mine good or bad.
