Lap-Band removal/cost in Toronto?

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to see if anyone here knows surgeons that will remove the lap-band in the the Toronto/SW Ontario area?  How much does this cost?  (no insurance/OHIP)

here in Tucson,  I asked (no band problems so far, just curious).

My doc said to expect about 10-12,000.

i paid 12,000 to get my band in ......  When coming out, you don't have the expense of the band itself, but it is usually more surgery time and more anesthesia time.  Those items are billed 'to the minute', so extra time is extra money.

honestly, after my band, I saved for Plastics.  Now that my plastics are done, I save for a revision, if it has to happen.

i no longer think that my band will be with me long term ... And I know that I will have to be self pay to have it removed.

That's expensive, I got 1 quote in Toronto for $4500.  Thanks for your reply. 

Hey, where did you end up getting it removed? I live in Toronto as well and I'm desperate to get it out.
