Just remember, if a band slips once you are at VERY high risk for it slipping again.  That is why most surgeons won't reband anymore.  Might want to start looking at other surgery types.

Now, with that said the band mills will reband because that's all they do, but revision surgeons typically will not reband or reposition.  It's just a 3rd surgery around the corner when they do.

Sorry this happened to you. Whatever comes next, my very best wishes.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

Terribly sorry to hear it, Ron.

I hope you are able to revise or have the band removed without too much trouble.

Revision on 08/16/12

Sorry to hear that, Ron. A complete unfill resolved my band slip. Hopefully taking all the fluid out of your band will fix your slip and avoid further surgery, or at least give you time to carefully consider your options.

Good luck!

Jean

You might want to check out the failed band group.  Many there have gone thru the slip, unfill/refill, reposition surgery just to have it slip again.  Some even try a 2nd or 3rd band just to have it removed.  Good luck.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
