Lisa's doing better
More good news about Lisa O:
One of Lisa's work friends visited her today. She woke up for a bit and recognized Diane and squeezed her hand. Also nodded yes and no when asked specific questions. She's clearly agitated by the breathing tube but seemed to calm when Diane explained what was going on. Eventually the nurse came in and sedated her again so she would be comfortable. Lisa was pointing to the TV at one point so they ended up turning it on for her, just for background noise. Hopefully that's what she wanted! They thought music would be good to so the nurse is going to work on that. Diane says he was wonderful - she's in such good hands there.
I think that giving Lisa music to listen to is a great idea. Lisa and her entire family are very musical, all with great singing voices. Just today I was listening to some Christmas music and thinking that Lisa could do a far better job of singing it. The first time I heard her sing, at church, I was blown away by the beautiful sound coming out of my beautiful friend. She is so gifted in so many ways, I just have to believe that God has many, many plans for her on this earth before he calls her home. Which is hopefully many, many years from now.
