I was out of work 2 weeks. Took about a month and a few days to FULLY recover. Good Luck

It kind of depends...
Straight band removal, no adhesions or complications, you probably can go back to work within a week.
Adhesions or complications, without revision, it could be awhile.
Band removal and revision, no adhesions or complications, depends on what type of revision. I did band to sleeve revision and was back to work in two weeks.
I recently had repair of a hiatal hernia (courtesy of the band), gastric tumor removal/sleeve rescission and the duodenal switch and took four weeks off after surgery. I could use another four or so. I do consider this tied into band removal because the band slip caused the hernia.
I had as ruff, if not a little rougher time with the removal recovery than with the band. I had lots of scare tissue that was removed. Also after the band removal they just sent me home as though nothing. Surgery called at 9:15 am and home at 1:30 pm including 20 minute ride.
Now when I got the sleeve 4.5 months later it was much easier.

Anyone that has their band removed, what was your recovery time? How long out of work?
Thanks!
I didn't just have my band removed I revised to a sleeve. I went back to work the day after I was discharged from the hospital. It's not "pain" it's discomfort. Huge, massive difference.
