Port Site red

Hi All! 

     I am 3 years out and just out of the blue while I was drying myself off after a bath, I noticed it. So what do you think? Should I be concerned or maybe just keep an eye on it? No pain, no swelling, but the actual scar is like a dark pink. Any suggestions?

Hi Jen,

Well when I HAD the band, my port area would turn a little red but then swell up for about 20 minutes. Not sure if the two connect but later I found out that I had a scar tissue infection. I would just make sure your surgeon is aware.

I would definately let your surgeon know, red is not a good sign even years out. Bears checking out.
