Fat Clothes
I've kept a pair of size 22, elastic-waist jeans (with the inseams worn through because of chub rub) and a size 2X top (with food stains on the front) for over 6 years, to remind me of the fat girl I once was. I know I'll always be haunted by that girl and I try to have compassion for her, but thanks to her clothes, something funny happened to me this week.
The owner of the fitness studio I go to asked me to do a short presentation about my weight loss at one of her classes. I live in a small southern town and know some of those women socially, but they're mostly people who've never known me as an obese person. So they were astonished when I walked into the room wearing those fat clothes (holding the jeans up with my hands). I think they enjoyed the presentation and nobody said (aloud, anyway) anything about taking the easy way out. Now I just want to share a photo of me in the fat clothes:

I really wish I had kept set of fat girl clothes! What a reminder! You look so good now! Hope things are getting a bit better for you with your sleeve now..
Highest 290, Banded - 248 Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.
Happily banded since May 2006. Regain of 28lbs 2013-14. ALL GONE!
But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,
Are those the pants you were wearing in that hilarious photo with your husband peering down into them?

Thanks, Kate. I'm getting along with my sleeve better now. Kind of resigned to it (and what else am I going to do? I can't reverse it). I'm now 18 pounds below my goal weight and trying to eat more protein to help stabilize it. Never in a million years did I dream I'd be worrying about losing too much weight! It's kind of nice!

I'm getting better at avoiding dumping, so that's a relief.
