Doctors advice

When I talked to the doctor about having another wls, he pointed out a few things.

He pointed out  that I did well with wls because I changed my food choices. It wasn't the wls that did it. That only restricted what I took in.

He told me he has patients who don't lose weight after wls because they don't change their eating habits. Their food choices. So they don't lose.

He talked to me about the importance of taking in 'solid protein' vs. a casserole or lasagna, etc. He told me carbs like bread, crackers, pasta, etc. are empty calories that go straight to fat on my body. They don't add to the value of my body. He told me to stay away from 'white carbs'.

I told him I'd been eating maui fish lately. He liked that. He suggested shrimp or chicken as good 'proteins' to take in. A protein shake once a day.

I have been trying to do better with protein choices as well.  I made up a protein shake this morning after my workout and I really have already noticed a difference in how I feel.  I hope I can keep making positive choices too.  I really like tilapia so I think I will make that for lunch.  Thanks for your posts!!
