We can't wait to hear from you post-op!
Doc says 'no' to wls.
Says I'm maxed out on all weight loss surgeries..........................
BUT we had a good talk.................................
He stressed eating 'solid protein' foods..................................
low carbs if any, stay away from white carbs meaning bread, pasta, crackers,.............
recommend using over the counter protein powder shakes as a supplement once a day
.................................not to be used exclusively (he was reading my mind) because it would be too hard to stay with .............................. No grazzing. (I grazze!! my problem)
BOTTOM WORDS
YOU HAVE CONTROL
I did ask about the DS. He said no...........
The doctor told me I didn't have enough stomach left to safely do the ds.............
That's when he pointed out that thinking the wls worked well for me was incorrect.......
Said he had wls patients who didn't lose their excess weight after the surgery..........
He pointed out that I was successful because I made food choices afterwards that would insure weight loss................
It wasn't the wls that did it........... it was me.
