off the subject, i need to see a dentists

I need to go  see a dentists          My feeeh are in pain but hesssisstant to go because i don't like needles . but got to go. g            oiong to contact umass see if they  do teerh.

                           any words of encouracegment / words of wisdome / compassiona/l

You should probably do that before it gets worse. No sense in waiting.

I was always afraid of the dentist because of a horrible experience when I was a kid. However I found one who is just awesome and understands my fears. When she gives me the shot she jiggles my lip which takes away any pain feeling. You would think it would make it hurt but it doesn't, and once I'm starting to get numb it doesn't bother me anymore. So explain to them when you make your appointment, they may even give you something to calm you before hand. Good luck to you, it's better to just get it over with!

I'm there with you.  I found a dentist that uses gas.  If he ever need to do something that requires a needle, you can't believe what I have gone thru with just gas or nothing, he hides the needle from me and just does it when I'm not really aware.  Great guy!

I understand that Phobia! I have treated patient's for 28 yrs with Dental phobia's  Like stated above Tell the office staff that you are hesitant about the appointment, or better yet seek a dentist that deals with Dental fear and Phobia's ( not a Dental clinic) IMHO

And YES, HIS Lady that is an "OLD" dental school trick used to take the patient's mind off the injection because they hope you will be paying more attention to them jiggling or pinching your lip and not have time to react to the injection.

I hope your able to overcome your Fear and get treated, if it's an infection of the nerve? left untreated can cause other more severe complications, which often people don't realize. GOOD LUCK In Overcoming your Fear!
