Anyone ever have port replaced? Is it a simple procedure and how long before returning to work.

I didn't but I do remember that several other people did a few years ago.

It seems to be a fairly straightforward procedure.  I think they chose to take a couple weeks off.

Wow, I only took 5 days off after my band was put on!

I had my flipped port repositioned with same-day surgery. Recovery was more painful than my original band surgery, probably because of the scar tissue involved. I took 3 weeks off work because my job is fairly physical.

Those flipped ports incased in scar tissue sure are a painful thing.  Mine caused much pain for years but, it wasn't until they dug it all out that they stopped blowing me off.  That part of the removal was more painful than getting the band placed.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.
