7 Year anniversary today!
Can't believe it has been 7 years since I had surgery. I lost 100 pounds and kept it off. The downside is that I could stand to lose 100 more. The upside is that my medications have been reduced and I am much healthier. I am at full fill. My problem is a combo of rediculously low metabolism and not enough exercise. I eat about 1000 calories a day. Have just retired and am able to exercise more now and have lost a couple pounds this month. Am considering the /2 diet to trick my metabolism.
Good luck to all of you on your journey!

Typo!
I meant the 5/2 diet. You eat regularly for 5 days and then semi-fast for 2 days. There are at least 2 variations but both do this to keep your metabolism from resetting at a lower calorie level. People have lost more on this than on "regular diets'. The variation I am choosing is to limit my calories to 500 per day for 2 days a week. Another variation is more structured - so many ounces of lean meats, so much of good fats, so much fruit, etc. Too complicated for me, but may be just right for others. I heard about this on NPR>
