I agree with you but what on earth for this have to do with getting a DS over RNY ?isnt there another board for you to argue that point? And why on earth would you let your family member get a Lapband. Tell her to get over it and get a sleeve or DS.

The person you wrote this to wasn't arguing about anything.

Nobody wrote that you were arguing.  What was written was that you were accusing someone else of arguing and they weren't.

Have a nice day!

Are you still with Dr Jawad, now that he has moved to Orlando ? I had to drop him because he no longer accepts my insurance.

Yes I live in Orlando so it works out great for me. Sorry to hear that you had to drop him. Do you see his old partner Dr Shebani ?

Congrats for you and getting ready to go forward with the plastic surgery~I am 7 years out and have had lipo, a tummy tuck and a little lipo under my chin, as well as some work on my breasts.  Something to think about, my plastic surgeon rarely does arms as the results vary so much and can leave you with twisting scars.  He also said he won't do it on people of color because they tend to have even less successful results.  What I recommend, is look at his end results pictures and specifically with people who look like  you, and don't be afraid to speak to more than one plastic surgeon before you go forward.  I love my tummy tuck, but I still have a very large area of numbness from the incision line to just under my breasts.  The lipo portion of the tummy tuck (in the abdomen) was so wickedly painful, I thought i would never feel normal again.  The lipo under my chin was so painless, I could have gone out the next day, it took a full 8 weeks before my stomach was strong enough to go out, then I had the actual tummy tuck...that was difficult, but I survived.  I really recommend swimming, its so easy and effective for tightening up loose muscles.  Good luck, peace and blessings to you,

Debi

Hi Debi, I appreciate your advice. I've actually had a extended fluer de Lis tummy tuck and a breast aug and lift so I know what you mean about pain lol. I'm confident with my surgeon and will consult a second surgeon as well just to get opinions.
