Hello all. It's been quite a while since I've been on here. I've had my band a little over 5 years and I've had great success! (-140). I've had very few probs(thankfully) but lately I have been having a lot of burning in my stomach, some reflux, eating too much and of course weight gain (up about 20). I haven't been to my doc in about 3 years! (Wrong on my part). I finally went in Monday and they totally unfilled my band. She thinks I have stretched my pouch. And I go in the morning for an upper gi. To be sure. Hopefully my stubbornness hasn't left me with any major problems. Now I have to be very careful with my food intake until I can get fills again!  It's kinda hard when you've been restricted for so long and now there is this little evil voice saying""hey you can eat all those things that would get stuck before". I have to remember that I've worked too hard and come too far for that donut!

Thanks for letting me vent and confess!

Welcome back. Some old timers filtering back to OH including me.  I'm glad you saw your Dr...best place to start and get that checked. I do an ugi every other year. I've regained 40 but from all my bad choices and lack of exercise. Just stay positive and follow your rules..should be second nature. Let us all know how you are doing.

Actually Happens allot, Pouch Dilation=Un fill usually they let the pouch/stomach go un-inflammed for a few weeks and start over. Sure hope you find resolution

Yes I have definitely let old habits creep back into my life. I think I need to get my book out and retread the basics so I can refocus

Are they doing an upper gi or are they scoping you?  The upper GI always showed I was wide open.  When they unfilled to scope and figure out what was going on, I had esophagealitis and gastritis.

Glad to hear you got back to your doc to get this looked into in.
