Adjustable Gastric Band on 04/17/13

I had my lap band surgery 4/17/13.  I have a 2 fills. First time was 5cc, this time (2 wks ago) was 1cc.  This time I have been having problem with food getting stuck.  I am barely eating anything because I am not hungry, which is great, but when I do eat things get stuck.  It doesnt matter what I eat. Does it take a while for swelling to go down or is this something I need to talk to my doctor about?

Also I seem to be stuck at the same weight.  I lost great during the presurgery diet and right after surgery but I have lost none since.  Is this normal until you get to the "sweet spot" in fills?

Thanks

The swelling should be down by 2 weeks out.  Are you cutting your food into eraser size pieces and chewing each eraser size piece 25-30 times until it is liquid before you swallow?  If so, you are to tight.  I didn't lose much until after a couple fills.

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Thank you.  It's nice to know it's normal to not lose any weight at first. I will also make sure I am chewing better to see if that helps.  Thank you for the response.

The advice is good advice, but if it continues to be hard to eat...see your Dr, if you are too tight it wont help you lose weight it will only make things harder on you and your band and can cause you serious issues down the road..... be safe

....just keep swimming
