What does a flipped band feel like?

Thanks Lisa! I was hoping that was the case and Iam waiting for my doctors nurse to call me back. They sent the readings down to them and I am leaving to go pick up the disc to take down with me. I am already unfilled for almost a year now I had that done when I had my gall bladder out last August. I have never needed much of a fill and just kept putting it off because of the drive and all the times it took to hit my sweet spot. One time of not being able to swallow my own spit. I have a doctor here in my town who is willing to take me for fills but felt bad calling my doctor to see if he would refer me. Now that this has happened I tried to call his office but they are out till Monday. I wanted to make sure he was still willing. Totally afraid to eat anything, right now because of the risk of pain from the flu. Sad thing is we have reservations at a really nice restaurant tomorrow for our 28th anniversary. I feel sometimes that this band is more of a pain, but surely couldn't have lost the 70 pounds without it.

Ialsothought with a slip I would have been experiencing some symptoms, other than the pain last night I haven't had any.

Thanks again!

Please see your surgeon!!  I have been hospitalized 3 times this year by an ER doctor only to find out after several days in the hospital that nothing is wrong with my band....just swollen for whatever reason.  My surgeon now insists that if I have issues that I go to his hospital unless I am traveling so he can look at the studies.  Unfortunately, some doctors that are ER docs just don't know enough about it.

Waiting on the call. They did a CT scan with dye. Praying it hasn't slipped but probably won't get to my doctors till Monday. Any suggestions of what I can eat?

I would follow a liquid diet until you get to the bottom of this.

Liquids only until you hear otherwise from the dr.   You can cause more problems eating real food at this point.    I feel for you!

Sorry to say time to cancel the reservations and stick with a liquid diet till you see your doc. Make them for later when you may be able to actually enjoy them. If you are unfilled and still have a slip that is not a good sign so don't push your luck trying to eat much of anything, maybe mushies but nothing very solid. Good luck I hope it all works out for you!

Yep canceling dinner just liquids and maybe soft foods. Going down to surgeon Monday morning. Cat scan said 43% and it's suppose to be at 45% whayever that means. hopefully I won't require surgery as the shoulder pain from the gas is so excruciating that I think I would say take it out and be done!
