What does a flipped band feel like?
Please call your dr or go to the emergency room right away. This sounds serious.
Let us know how it goes and good luck with everything.

Got it! I thought you had mentioned before and meant 3 hours.
I found this old thread, If you go to robinespeland's blog and read Jean's description, it sounds more like it is mistaken for heart issues.

Don't panic yet. I wouldn't trust an ER doc to read the film and determine a slip. From what I've found most know nothing about the band. I went to the ER when I had the stomach flu in December. I told him I had a gastric band and needed to be unfilled because I couldn't swallow spit and he gave me a blank look. I said "Lap band for weigh loss?" He said "oh, I've heard of that!" Luckily the nurse on duty had done an un-fill one time before and was able to do it for me.
Anyway, if it is a slip they can sometimes be managed by a total unfill to give your pouch/esoph a rest for 6 weeks or so. Call your Doc and see if he wants you to have any additional tests before you trek 3 hours but don't put it off. It's not something to mess with.
Take care!
