What is wrong with me?!
What worked for you to regain the motivation and get moving down the weight loss road? As much as I do not want to do it, I thought about going back to Weigh****chers. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I want to be healthy and in a healthy weight range. However, I just do not know how to get my brain back in the game.

Well...before the Lap band board was destroyed with band bashing, this board WAS good place to come and stay motivated and on track. You are correct it takes motivation to stay on track with weight loss and if many don't have that every day support from others to stay on track it can be a tough road EVEN WITH restriction.
What helped me was to eat the same foods DAILY that will help me shed pounds and stick to it, also the exercise must be daily, you can't skip here and there and only do monthly marathons, you have to walk daily/or exercise just like you get up and brush your teeth it has to be a daily routine to see consistent pounds move.
I know it may be tough with a new baby, you may want to take advantage of the hot weather and walk your baby in a stroller daily.
Post your daily struggles and hopefully others will come out of lurking and help motivate you too, YOU can do this, just take one day at a time.
Original Lap Band * 9/30/2005 * 4cc 10cm band*, lost 130 pounds. 7 Great years!
Revision surgery to AP small lap band *11/13/2012*, due to large hiatal hernia. I am hopeful about continuing my band journey uneventful and successful. I loved what my old band did for me and I am looking forward for my new band to Keep my weight down
I agree that eating a small repetoir of food can help a lot. I don't eat exactly the same, but I do have the same breakfast every day. Fiber one and yogurt. I have a protein shake after the gym. I usually eat eggs for lunch or dinner. Other things I eat are lots of fish, some chicken, chicken sausage, homemade chili, sweet potatoes, whole wheat bread, low fat cheese, berries. I do think it's important to have some variety in your diet, to make sure you are meeting all your nutritional needs.
Who said anything is wrong with you. I've got only 25 pounds to make my goal and all I think about is food. I got a fill and had some problems with it. I though I was going to have to get unfilled but it has settled down now. I just started working out again. I've not been good with that either.
You have a different hormone level now. We know you have to take in less than you need plus work it off. I know you can because you want too. Just look how far you have come. Keep up the positive out look

You can do this. The first and most important thing is to not beat yourself up. If you don't forgive yourself for being human you won't get any where. If we didn't have these types of issues we would not have needed surgery in the first place. The best place for me to start is to clear the house of the things that are problems for me. Then I need to de-carb. It hurts, causes wall climbing, crying, whining, and moaning plus lots of *****ing, but toughing it out really helps. The cravings ease after the first 4-5 days and that makes it all much easier. I stick to protein only for 10 days or so then add non starchy veggies. When I add fruit I have to do one at a time to see what triggers t
Suehe cravings and try to avoid those.
A friend just mentioned that she had done this a couple of months ago then gradually added one type of grain at a time very slowly and discovered some that gave her real problems and actually triggered allergic reactions. I think that is a good plan.
No matter whether you go this route, go to WW, or some other plan you find works for you it is fully possible to get back in the game. Good luck!
