Good Morning!
I progressed to puréed/soft food yesterday and will be on this phase for at least two weeks until my post op appt. I don't have "that stuck feeling" at all. Food is passing into the stomach without a problem, so seems my "achalasia" was 100% band caused. I'm ordering my surgical report today so I can review it with Dr K on the 25th. My discharge paperwork doesn't give a clue as to the findings so I'm dependent upon my DH to tell me what was done. From what he says a lot of scar tissue was removed from the lower esophagus and around my stomach and the band was placed high on the stomach.
Right now I'm focused on staying under 1200 cal and getting my protein in. My belly is very swollen where the port was, which I expected and I've been off all pain meds since Sunday.
thanks for the support and good wishes, it means a lot!

It's not yeast...I get it if I'm sick, post op or if the weather is hot. Anti fungal med doesn't touch it. I showered with the special liquid soap I used preop, put mupirocin on it and a cotton tank, than layered my bra over that. Mupirocin is a rx ointment that's antibacterial I've used for this for years. Hopefully it will help or I will be back at UW to get it checked out. I haven't had this in a year...
