I'm recently back on OH after a few years off.  It's nice to see some faces I recognize. I'm six years out. Kept 60 lbs off. Working on the 40 gained after my Mom died. Really fell off the wagon. My daughter is having a sleeve on June 10th, so I'll be back on liquids with her to show support and get myself dusted off and back on program. I'm really looking forward to liquids, believe it or not. Takes me back to pre/post op...lol     Following up with my surgeon as I have not had a fill in years. This really is a forever journey!

Congrats Judy! Glad to see you back. It's very brave to do the liquids. Lol. Have you gotten a fill/unfil recently?

Congratulations on your 7th anniversary!

Good to hear you and  your surgeon are staying on top of things

BAND REMOVED 9-4-12-fought insurance to get sleeve and won! Sleeved 1/22/13! Five years out and trying to get that last 15 pounds back off.

Congrats!! That's awesome news. And it seems like you've hit on something- successful people follow up with the surgeon. Who knows if it was a successful surgery or persistent patients, but aftercare is important. Keep us updated!

People damaged by the band do plenty of follow up as well, it doesn't stop complications in the least.

Right. That's why I said the sucess stories in the office could be successful surgeries, meaning there are unsuccessful ones. And of course I could go on that its not the fault of the patient....but I was trying to positively support a sucess story. I'm sure there will be enough negative commentary (even if true) without me saying it.

Soooo, if anyone dares to post stats, journal articles, facts, or personal experience, that's negative, right?
