4 weeks out
I am 4 weeks out from surgery. I lost 25 lbs in the first 2 wks and now I am at a stand still. Not gaining but not loosing. Is this normal? I will have my first adjustment in 2 weeks and I am hoping that will help. Did anyone else experience this? Thanks for everyones help.
No it isn't normal most people don't lose anywhere near that much! most of us don't lose much of anything until we get some restriction after several fills. Also the average weight loss with the band is 1-2 lbs a week so don't expect huge losses. It takes far longer to lose weight with the band than other surgeries.
Yep, you are doing better than the average. How much EW do you have to lose?
It seems even the other surgeries have a big loss and than a stall at three weeks out. Than they have a big drop. You are doing great. Keep up the good work!
There is a term for from the time your surgery swelling goes down until you get the first few fills. They call it "banders hell" as, you have gone thru the surgery but are hungry like before surgery. So if this happens, know it should get better.

Wow 25 pounds in 2 weeks? That is awesome and you are complaining? You are losing as if you had the Bypass..lol, of course you are at a standstill, your body is trying to catch up with that huge loss, just keep doing what you are doing and you will see the scale keep moving.
Congrats on your huge weight loss
