Lap band is NOT being discontinued...Oh the misinformation

There is a rumor going around that the lap band is being discontinued...well for those who think they will no longer get fills or needed parts....fear not...as much as the band bashers WANT it too, ...well it's not

Weight loss surgery in general has declined over the last few years, lap band or not, could Allergan be greedy and want more money from the band? Probably....it may not be in their interest to continue with it their sales are declining....but there will always be a market for it, it fits a lot of peoples lifestyle if they use it correctly..but can be a disaster for many as we all know.

Allergen is just selling it to a new buyer, when I got my band 8 years ago, INAMED were the manufacturers.....So I've had an INAMED band and an Allergan band....I had more heartburn and reflux with the INAMED band but quicker weight loss...so far no side effects with the Allergan band....we will see what the new manufacturers do to further enhance the newer band models
