Allergan Considers Lap Band a Discontinued Operation
Were you a member of Spotlight Health back in the day, too? I remember asking people ALL the time about the referred left shoulder pain and NO ONE knew what I was talking about. I even got the chance to talk with Ann Wilson at one point (online) and I asked her, "Do you have pain in your left shoulder? Are you still able to sing? Because I can barely even breathe." And she was like, "Umm. No idea what you're talking about." Now, of course, it's a pretty common side effect, as we know. I wanted to yell at Ann and say, "I chose this damned band because of you!" But I reeled it in.

I was told by Allergan that he was fired a few years ago, I never verified if that was true.
"Banding4health", I believe you've heard the good and the bad about the lap-band and you've made your own decisions for yourself and your health. I respect that because it can't be easy with so many people trying to talk you out of your decision. I got the band in 2007 and lost some weight but not much. I had years of fills and unfills until I started to regain the little weight I lost and then the band began to cause problems with my esophagus. I recently had a revision from lap-band to RNY (as in I just got out of the hospital today) so I have no idea how I'm going to do this time around but I'm going to put 110% into making this revision a success. With that said, I have at least 2 friends who also had the lap-band a year or two after me and they're doing great. They lost a great deal of weight and are successful in keeping it off. As a matter of fact, I began to feel like a failure at one time because I was comparing myself to them. I've since stopped doing that after I began to learn more about how many other people had problems too. I wish you the very best and hope you're one of those people who have a band that actually works the way it's supposed to.
