REALLY DISAPPOINTED

I came here looking for support and encouragement. Yet all I see is negativity. I see people BRAGGING about having their bands taken out and encouraging others to do the same. Is there ANYTHING  positive here????  My two cents ...if you got your band removed good for you. Maybe it was the best decision for YOU. Please go to whatever other WLS forum that now fits your needs and leave the rest of us alone here.  I am sure that the sample of negative nellie's here is a small % of those who have had the band. There are those of us trying, really trying to do something to save our lives.  For every surgery there are negative outcomes  but there are positive outcomes too.

Who is "bragging" about having a 2nd expensive major surgery?  Are you serious?

Yes I am very serious about what I said and I meant every word of it and stand by it too. I did not put all of my WLS history in my profile or whatever you may think you know about me. The point is all of this had band removed  on whatever date, or had to fight with insurance and won ....or is great for you or whoever. It fit whatever need you may have had.  If someone is new the board, not new to WLS then why not give then a chance or at least encourage them to try instead of all the band bashing......Again if the band was soooooooo terrible for you WHY are you still in the forum?????????

Interesting for a 2nd post on this forum isn't it?  The first post was in response to..... you get 3 guesses and the first 2 don't count.

Excuuuuuuuuse meeeeee?  You joined today, I joined in 2008 and I need to go away?  BTW, if you are truly new to WLS, it would benefit you to read those "negative posts".  It might save you from some real pain, $$$ and emotional anguish.

There is NOTHING those posts can do save me any pain. If I have problem I will contact the appropriate people to handle it.  And no  I don't know everything about WLS but BS I know a lot about.... No one on here is an expert really when it comes to me but me. I have known folks who have had the sleeve, bypass and LB all have some similarities but different outcomes. It depends on the person, the surgery and  many other  factors. There is no cookie cutter outcome guaranteed by doing any of it.  The folks are seem be able to guarantee what will happen with the band.....

I HOPE you do well with your band, I really do.  But forewarned is forearmed.  I created a "Just in Case" file on my blog.  I called my doctors at the first sign of trouble.  Being unable to eat sucks.
