I had a baby 21/2 years ago, I lost 100 pounds before I got pregnant and have gained it all back, I have been trying to lose the weight again with no success, I need help getting back on track, I don't even know how I did it the first time, I feel completely ashamed and embarrassed :-(

First of all do you have restriction or did you have your band emptied for the baby? That would be the first step to make sure you have some restriction, it is often hard to get back to a good restiction once the band has been emptied. After that it's back to basics, solid protein first, a few veggies and IF you still have room a healthy carb. Take pencil eraser sized bites, chew till liquid and make sure completely swallowed before taking another bite. No drinks with meals or for 1/2 hr. after. That should at least get you started. Of course exercise is also a big requirement. Good luck to you!

Hi! I lost 150lbs with the band and gained 60lbs back during pregnancy. No matter what I do, I can't get even a pound off. My nurse told me that statistics are showing that for whatever reason, LapBanders after pregnancy rarely reach their green zone. That is where I am at. Don't blame yourself.

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.
