Everyone has jumped ship! Hope they went to AGB Heaven!!!
Hi sweetie! It's so tough to lose your mom. Mine passed away ON Mother's Day in 2006. It sucks, but we must carry on.
That includes taking care of YOU. You know food isn't going to make it all better. Feeling good about how you treat your body and soul will make you feel better! I have to preach it to myself every day. Most days, I don't listen.
I have also been battling my weight my entire life and will have to continue to battle it for the rest of my life. I am just glad that I have a tool to help me. Love ya, girl!
Melly Love you are fantastic! We are in this together. I'm kinda glad you dumped your ED therapist. She was off from the start. Once I worked with this wonderful ED THERAPIST & AND IT ALL CAME down to forgiving & loving yourself, being gentle, beginning again yet nevEr being at the same starting point.
Love you girly!!!
I am so sorry about your Mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I would like to add, though, that I am so grateful people take the time to post their experiences, good and bad, on this board.....well, mostly bad these days, but that's the band's fault. Honestly, when I was told that my band had to come out immediately this was the first place I turned. I was devastated but it was comforting to see that others had similar experiences and had overcome this too. Sending you a mega {{{HUG}}}}

Layla,
My condolences on your mother's passing. Have you considered participating in a grief workshop or group? I am sure your mother would want to you gain back control of your life and to be happy.
I dread my birthday every single year since 2006. My mother was terminally ill (although she denied it) and made the effort to go out to dinner to celebrate my birthday. She passed away two weeks to the day later and it was HORRIBLE. However, much as I miss her, I know she would want me to go through life and give it my best shot.
Lisa
Hey, thank you Lisa! Excuse my typing:-) . yes, I have kept on keeping on. Sorry about your mom too. This is the circle of life -death, no doubt! I get "unstuck". In fact I did immediately after posting. Moms' want us to move forward & live life. My Mom was my biggest motivator in me getting healthy - we also loved food together lol. I ate Peeps for her Easter because she loved them then walked my Arse off.
Sending big hugs to you! So glad some of us are still hanging around for one asnothetr xoxo
Zee so wonderful to see you again! So sorry about your mom....I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. That is a tough loss for sure. You will get your eating under control again. Give yourself a break. You have been through a lot. The sleeve will help you get back on track when you are ready.
Melly..so good to see you again too! Glad your revision is helping.
I haven't been on the board here for a while. I am banded almost 6 years and down 70 pounds. No problems with my band. I got off track for 2 years when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even with all the chemo and steroids I didn't gain any weight. The band saved me. I hope to loose the remaining 60 pounds by next year. Better late than never:) I consider this a marathon anyway...so I am not in a rush. So good to see you both again. xxooAnnette
