You've already gotten some great responses, but I just wanted to add that I am also a band to sleeve patient and I am very happy with my choice to switch to the sleeve. My weight loss remains slows and steady but I no longer struggle with reflux, pain, and PBing. I can tolerate any food (I have not tried bread yet, though) and pills. The sleeve just feels much more natural without any of the complications associated with the band. My restriction is phenomenal and my hunger sensation is almost completely gone. I get light headed if I need to eat and during my TOM I do experience head hunger, but not real hunger.

Good luck with your decision. I wish you all the best!

Ann I had my band 11/06 then deflated for good in 08. I lost 80lbs but gained it back over the years because of no longer having that restriction... I have suffered for years with horrible reflux from the band (even with all the meds the gi doc put me on). I finally made the decision to have revision surgery. I too very was very afraid to have rny, after all, that's why I went with the band to begin with.  After lots of research and meeting the with the surgeon I am having the rny done at the end of this month. I went back in forth between both but due to my horrible reflux issues from the band I would in all likely hood have the same with the sleeve and that was what made my decision final. I feel your surgeon can help guide you based on your hx. Best of luck with you decision.
