Weight Loss Surgery Tied to Increased Colon Cancer Risk

Hi All;

Article on increased risk of developing colon cancer AFTER WLS link below.  Although the article makes it clear that it is not understood WHY this relationship exists, some early studies have shown  2x that of a "normal risk".  Perhaps increased protein in the diet (and probably less fiber!) Perhaps changes in bacteria/immunity.  The article also does not clearly state what TYPE of WLS was studied, but I plan to research further and see what the "scoop" is.  If I find anything more, will post.
