Sorry SM, I didn't mean it that way. I think the negative experiences should be shared so people know it's not all roses - and also for help for those of us that have had some problems. My band was absolutely perfect the first two years. This last year? Lots of problems.

It's just that the board got pretty vicious for awhile. That's what seemed sad. It was someplace we could go to share successes as well as concern about potential problems. I know a few people who are still having good success. Unfortunately, there are more than a few others who are in my boat at this point. And we are feeling kind of lost.

I agree.   This board being negative simply reflects the current trend with lapbands; more people are having problems.  The forum is the Lapband forum, not the Lapband Forum for those without complications.  

I agree Kate, I will see you on in the other group. This one just sucks the life out of a person. I agree They should call it the Failed Lap band board it doesn't do any good to have two. So the other one has 600 members does not mean there are 600 lap band people needing a revision or having problems(I am a member) I am not looking for a revision or having a problem.  Note to newbies If you have a band and are doing good and don't need a revision.  I would suggest you run from here find support some where else.

The UK Forum seems pretty dead too.  I looked figuring there could be some helpful advice...no posts in two years???

Oh no! The UK board on OH never really took off.  I go on a British board, not the OH UK board!

At the least they should go back to having a "Band/AGB" board.  At one time realize wanted their own but it is really dead.  Two post this year with 0 replies.  I see about 1/2 and 1/2 here.  And also there are more than the two kinds now.  I saw a third brand but, can't remember the name now.

I also have been a member on another Band board.  They are NOT friendly at all to those with issue.  They have a great active board but, don't put in print you have a problem.  Those people are relegated to a couple THREADS!

I have never felt I could post there, even before issues.  Just lurked for five years.

No. I know the board you mean and it is frighteningly optimistic! I may love my own band but they are blinkered.
