Hey everyone. I had my lapband placed in February 12. I am currently 34 weeks pregnant and freaking out about starting over with my weight loss journey soon. In a way I am excited to get back on track since most of you know being pregnant completly takes over your body! I am really nervous about getting fills soon, as my surgeon does not take my new insurance. So the financial part scares me...I guess I am just looking for a little encouragement. Hope everyone is doing well! I miss logging on here! XoxxoX

Midwiferywoman just went thru a pregnancy with the band.  You might want to pm her if she doesn't see this.

Also there is a board you might want to check out if you hadn't already.

Ginger:

You owe it to yourself and to your baby to just focus on YOU and your pregnancy, for now. Forget about your weight, forget about fills. Have your baby, both of you get strong and healthy, and THEN start thinking about your weight.

As for your surgeon, if you can't get him to take your insurance, ask him if he will cut you deal on a cash payment for the visit.

Banded 10 years & maintaining my weight loss!! Any questions, message me.

I agree. I'm trying to put the weight loss in the back of my mind for now. It is so difficult though when your whole life has been encompassed by trying to lose weight. I have tried very hard this pregnancy to eat well and never over eat. (Ive been successful for the most part)
I spoke to my surgeons ofc and he was able to cut me a deal for future fills but i still need to speak to the hospital and ask them to work with me for the radiology part.

Ginger.....Congratulations on your new bundle of joy.    I am with everyone else...right now focus on you and your new baby that will soon arrive.   I'd check with my insurance co. and see if there is another surgeon in your area that does fills and call them and see if they will do fills on another surgeon's patients.    I'm with everyone else as far as don't worry about your weight right now.   I'm sure you will do fine.   There is a lady at my church who has the band and has had 2 babies and lost ALL her weight after.   Good luck with the birth and congrats again.

Hugs and blessings ~~~ Vivian
