Absolutely not! I've only had my band for 8 months. My doctor was not upfront with me about this procedure. I'm experiencing a lot of pain and illnesses now. My BMI is not high enough to get my band removed. Need help not sure what to do going in for an consultation next week! Can anyone offer me any assistance!

Can you describe the issues you're having, Tboo? Maybe some of us in the failed bands group (in my signature line) would be able to help you. Consider joining our group, if you think it might be to your benefit.

BMI shouldn't be a reason to have the band removed. Health issues (documented) are what aids in band removal processes.

Please let me know if I can help you in any way.

Hi, I am 3 years sleeved with no complications and a whole new life, this post popped up on my newsfeed and tonight, one of my best friends is also 3 years out, but with a lapband, and hospitalized once again with complications i just found out. So many people I know with the band dont lose all the weight, get sick from eating veggies and protein, or have to have emergency revision. Do it right the first time, for your own sake.

I researched lapband for months and decided to go with the sleeve, check out my blog and pics if you have any questions, message me.
