Surgery Date Update!!

I finally got approval for my Lap band procedure today and my surgical date is Thursday!!! yes THIS THURSDAY! So tomorrow I start clear liquids and in the afternoon I go for my pre-op and then I get to go to work and do my mag citrate drink...not going to be an easy shift. and then I wor****il midnight. Then I go for surgery at 730 in the morning....everything is happening so fast...I am so excited I can barely wait. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers!!

I hope I am misunderstanding but are you saying you are doing your mag citrate drink at work?! Cause I really wouldn't advise doing that anywhere but at home because you will be stuck on the toilet for quite a while at a time after doing the drink. Once it starts working you won't be going anywhere! I hope I misunderstood or you change your plan.

Nope sadly no misunderstanding there simply was nobody to work for me. Luckily I have something similar to IBS so when I get nervous tummy the same thing happens needless to say no results yet but I was going all morning lol also my job is laid back and I have free range of what I do except for 2 30 minute sessions. I was able to split it so I won't be here to long haha

Oh wow you have my sympathy, I didn't dare leave the porcelin throne for what seemed like hours. Hope it all goes well for you. You are fortunate to have a job with leeway. Good luck to you!!!

Funny thing....it never really affected me. Granted I had been on clear liquids for several hours before hand and had a case of IBS before that....I went maybe 3 times all night to the bathroom and I only did that to see if I could go....not because I had too....someone must have been praying lol
