My life has been busy, busy but still oh so damn painful ( due to the damn band ) Sometimes I become so depressed from all the pain, I just fade away from this site and I just can't find it in me to care anymore, I just don't want to help anymore, SOMETIMES, I wonder how I'm just expected to keep living a life full of pain, and not wish for euthanasia.
I wish people would stop getting the damn band, I wish the FDA would pull the inferior piece of **** off the market, I wish for a very special place in Hell for those who push an inferior product on the people...just for monetary gain, I wish George Bush had NEVER become POTUS, but we can't go back...
That's what scares me, Lisa. The damage may be permanent...I heard those words yesterday. The looks on the faces of my PA and the radiologist told me it was bad news. The enlargement of the distal esophagus, the spasms causing the barium to slosh around in there, my heart was racing...not good. The radiologist had me drink some water and the LES opened up. As the barium dumped into my stomach, my band was tilting to one side and the other, it's so loose around the stomach.
I'm having an esophageal manometry test next, but I was told it may be canceled once the doctor looks at the Esophogram. I had two barium swallows last summer, the esophagus emptied a bit slowly, but not too bad. My band was empty all this time, wtf??

I know your surgeon told you that you were not a candidate to have that POS band removed ( not too long ago. ) I also remember telling you to get it out anyway, because no good can come from leaving a giant piece of hard " floating " plastic floating around and constantly rubbing back and forth against an organ that naturally churns it's food for a living. It's bound to erode its way through, and on that journey to erosion, it will damage your esophagus.
I still get stuck, and my band was removed over two ******g years ago Steph. Hmmmm let me think... the last time I got
" stuck " was ummmm..........Oh Yeah YESTERDAY !
Get that damn band removed, before I come over there and rip it out myself Steph. We already know that the band has been linked to pulmonary problems, I hope that this isn't as serious as an issue for you, that it's kinda starting to sound like Steph. Get it out, and get it out now !
